Spring has Sprung!!đ¸đˇđź

It's that time of year! Allergies and pollen, you ask? Well, those plus it's Spring. The flowers start to bloom, the weather starts warming up (hopefully), there's an extra hour of daylight, a celebration of Easter and Passover, and lastly, a time to renew and reenergize.
Â
Even though the holiday rush is over, Knit Me Sew Me is still buzzing with creativity! Behind the scenes, we are busy designing, crafting, and perfecting unique pieces that bring joy all year round. Our new Easter Egg Bunnies and Chicklets have been HUGE hits! They have been literally flying all over the country and selling fast at the Spring boutiques. These two new products are definitely "keepers."
Â
Knit Me Sew Me also had a very successful return to Crafty Ladies. The recent Spring boutique was amazing. I saw so many folks I hadn't seen in years, and it was an absolute delight!
Â
Here's what's been happening in the Knit Me Sew Me world.

Fourth Time in a Row!!
Â
I was deeply honored and humbled to have been chosen as the West Hills Local Business Person of the Year for the fourth year in a row, as well as landing in the Top 50 nationwide (#36) and the Top 50 Women (#18). This recognition is not just a reflection of my efforts but a testament to the incredible support, encouragement, and kindness I have received from this wonderful community. The friendships I have made along the way and the unwavering belief they have shown in me mean more than words can express. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this journeyâI am truly grateful to serve and grow alongside such an amazing group of people.Â

Check this out! I'm in the bottom row, third photo from the left. A huge thank you to Cherri Pedrioli for putting this together.Â

What's the difference and which one is right for me?
Â
Many folks ask me what is the difference between knitting and crocheting and which one would be right for them to try? Knitting and crocheting are like two sides of the same coin, as each has its own unique charm. Knitting uses two needles to create loops that interlock in rows, resulting in a smoother, stretchy fabric perfect for sweaters, hats, and socks. Crocheting, on the other hand, uses a single hook to create textured, versatile stitches that are ideal for intricate patterns like lace or sturdy items like blankets. There are thousands of patterns available online for each technique, so grab two knitting needles or a crochet hook and a skein of yarn and have at it! (YouTube can really be your friend!!!)

What a Difference 90 Minutes Makes!
Â
Recently, I was contacted by Jonathan, who had a very interesting problem. Several years ago, he purchased a âgranny-squareâ type sweater from an Etsy seller. Unfortunately, the left sleeve was wider than the right one; and the Etsy seller was no longer on the platform.
Â
So, what to do? Jonathan came by with the sweater; and after discussing what he would like, we decided that I would remove the larger sleeve and remake it the same as the other. It was a 90-minute project, and below is the finished product.
Â
This is why I do what I do!!
