Welcome to June!!!
Here at Knit Me Sew Me, "busy" is an understatement. There's always lots of things to do. New products are in the works (stay tuned, they are terrific!), and the inventory is growing in preparation for the fall/holiday season. (Yes, when everything is handmade, lots of lead time is essential; and you don't have to wait until then to order products online).
Please enjoy the following. It's truly a pleasure to bring these posts to you.
Have you ever met someone who made a big impact on your life?
Recently, this happened to me. You all know that when it comes to technology, I'm definitely a fish out of water. Every time I would hear "SEO," I would totally cringe; and it became the bane of my existence. Enter Rob DeLeon from comxl. Rob hosted a workshop on Alignable (the fabulous small business platform) about Google and SEO. He spoke in non-tech language that was easy to understand. The workshop was supposed to be an hour; however, after two hours, most of us were still on the Zoom. After this, I scheduled a 1:1 Zoom with him. Rob spent almost an hour looking at Knit Me Sew Me's website and its Google business page. He made several suggestions, which I have since implemented. He hosted another workshop that I attended (also two hours!), and then we did another 1:1 Zoom. I now have a map embedded on the bottom of the website that updates with the number of Google reviews, a Google website backlink, bookmarks, and keywords that have been used to do a Google stack and citations. Rob also gave me access to videos so I can continue learning on my own. He also offered more 1:1 Zooms if I come across something I don't understand and want to do. I can't thank Rob enough for his time, expertise, encouragement and support. He's the best!
I just got a package from Knit Me Sew Me, and I wonder what’s in it! This video was sent to me by one of my customers. As you can see, this little boy is very inquisitive. After getting some help, he finally sees what’s inside!! This is why I do what I do. To see the look on his face is such a joy, and he will be able to save this for the day long into the future when he has kids of his own!
Testimonial - This edition’s testimonial comes from Damien Orozco from Xocial Gong LLC and someone I met on Alignable (https://www.facebook.com/XocialGong/). He writes: “I can appreciate a small business owner who puts their heart and passion behind their business and Alise hits 5 stars in her profession. If you’re looking for a heartfelt give, reach out to Alise. She will make something unique and special to gift a loved one.” (Yes, Lucky Ducky is becoming very popular!)
And finally …
Until next time!
