National Siblings Day
April 10th was National Siblings Day, and I was able to talk about my twin sister, Sharon, who is five minutes younger than me (and never lets me forget that I’m her “older” sister!). She is an amazing woman and quite a force to be reckoned with! She has been a legal assistant for 45 years, and her legal knowledge is extensive to the point where she even trains new attorneys at her law firm. She has a huge heart and loves completely. She is also a cat parent to her “son” Stewie.
Sharon has been a huge help to me and Knit Me Sew Me. Many of you have had the opportunity to meet her at in-person boutiques; and yes, we still get asked the question, “Are you twins?” We have such a great time at these events, and her help with the admin work gives me more time to create.
I am so honored and grateful to have such a wonderful, loving, caring and supportive sister; and I love her to the moon and back!
Crafted with Care: Heartfelt Testimonials for Knit Me Sew Me
I connected with Ligaya Kelly from Bouquet Canyon Kennels on the Alignable networking platform and met her and her husband in person at one of my events. Here’s what she had to say about Knit Me Sew Me: “Alise is so down to earth and I love her products. I bought one for my granddaughter and you just know how much time and love she put into it.” Thank you, Ligaya!
A second testimonial comes from Debbie-Jo Horton, who writes: “Alise does beautiful work and puts her heart, soul and a bit of love in every piece she creates! Highly recommend her handmade goodies.” Thank you, DJ!

Celebrate Small Business Week
Every year since 1963, National Small Business Week has been recognizing the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. This year, National Small Business Week will be held from April 28 through May 4, 2024. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and small businesses create about two-thirds of new jobs in the U.S. each year. As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) highlights the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Visit the National Small Business Week page for the latest news and events.
During this week and throughout the year, please support small businesses. We work so incredibly hard to provide our customers with locally made items; and for Knit Me Sew Me, that means unique products that are 100% expertly handcrafted in the USA. We appreciate you!
