Lucky Ducky Goes to New York - Part 5
Today we’re exploring Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center. I’m really in “the Big Apple!”
This artwork was really beautiful.
We visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral in midtown Manhattan. Many public funerals have been held there. We met a group of gals who were in New York for a “bride’s weekend.” Mom Alise took photos of the group, so she asked if the bride would hold me for a photo. This is one of my all-time favorites.
We walked by the famous Radio City Music Hall, home of the Rockettes. We then took a stroll up Fifth Avenue. We stopped into Cartier (beautiful things - very expensive), Coach (Mom Alise's favorite handbag store and we met Cozie, one of the sales associates), Tiffany (cha-ching!) and last but not least, McLaren (I sat atop a Ferrari last summer in Italy!). Two Formula One cars down, many to go!
Next stop was Rockefeller Center. A beautiful walkway and Atlas greets you! The famous Prometheus statue is in the middle and overlooks where the ice rink is during the holidays. During the summer, it’s a roller skating rink. There is also a medallion on the walkway where the beautiful Christmas tree stands every year. The toy store FAO Schwarz is back; and this is Doorman Johnny, who was nice enough to take a photo with me. There are also lots of television studios and landmarks here: The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, NBC News, The Rainbow Room and Observation Deck.
