Lucky Ducky Goes to New York - Part 4
It’s a really busy day today. Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island during the day and the US Open tennis tournament at night.
Our tour started at Castle Clinton, at the very southern tip of Manhattan. Here is where we met our tour group and got on the boat to Liberty Island. The skyline looking back to Manhattan was truly amazing. Once on the boat to Liberty Island, and it was quite a thrill to see Lady Liberty! She is so beautiful and regal!
We took so many photos of the Manhattan skyline. Here is Mom Alise and Auntie Sharon and me! After visiting Lady Liberty, we took another boat to Ellis Island. There is so much history here. Behind the museum are panels of names of immigrants who came to the United States. Herman Schneider is Mom Alise’s and Auntie Sharon’s maternal grandfather.
After stopping at the hotel for a short rest, we’re once again off to the US Open. Tonight, we saw Carlos Alcaraz (who won) and Jessica Pegula (who won). It was also Pride Night. We got special wristbands that were illuminated by the fabulous DJ during the celebration.
What a spectacular day! Tomorrow is another adventure!
